Vintage Austria promotional travel poster. Estimated 1930s. Approximately 37.5 x 25 inches, unbacked. Art by Austrian artist Hermann Kosel, this original travel poster promoted Austria and its Alpine countryside to international travelers. Offset lithograph printing. Printer: Alfred Wall, Graz. Condition: B+. Shows age and wear, including small edge tears and rust staining, mostly within the margins. The staining is most noticeable along the top and bottom where the poster was removed from its original hanging bars, with very little extending into the image. There is also a small area of surface paper loss to the left of the artist's signature. This poster has a terrific vintage character and it will look great in a frame. Ca. 1935.
