A very nice vintage French countryside travel print. Le Puy GrIou by Constant Duval. Original travel poster. Lithograph Print 1930. Printer: Lucien Serre, Paris. On old, thin linen. Has some tears and creases at the edges. Some paper losses in the margins, minimal buckling from moisture in image. Photos of actual poster in normal light - this poster will look great framed. Created in 1930 by French artist Constant-Duval for the Chemin de Fer d'Orléans, this scene depicts Le Puy Griou rising above Saint-Jacques-des-Blats in France's mountainous Cantal region. The distinctive 1,690-meter volcanic peak lies in the Massif Central, an ancient volcanic landscape that the French railways promoted for scenic touring and outdoor recreation during the early 20th century.
