These forged strap hinges use thicker steel to create a heavy, sturdy hinge.  Blacksmith forged with a beeswax finish for a natural iron look to add character to your rustic gate or door.  They can be maintained over time with a wax/oil product, or they can be allowed to rust as desired in a damp environment.  This style is made with a thicker steel (just over 3/16 inch) for a heavier and more robust look.  Forged steel - these hinges are sturdy, heavy, and a great choice for sheds, gates, and rustic doors.  They are not engineered for very large or very heavy doors.  Natural iron / steel with a beeswax coating that allows the iron to show its character.  24 inches long.  Round penny end tip.  Small leaf is 5-1/2" x 1-1/2".



Features a traditional blacksmith finish that allows the character of the metal to show and allows the metal to rust as desired for a more authentic appearance. If used outside or in damp areas, the item will rust over time. If rust is not desired, the finish can be maintained with a wax or oil, or additional measures may be taken to preserve the appearance.
